Terms of Use

Draft. This page is a draft that requires appropriate legal and professional review before the service launches. Items in square brackets are still to be confirmed.

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of TheSurgeon.in, an online general surgical consultation service operated by INNOVATIONS AND MORE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11350220), registered office 128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX, email admin@innovationsandmore.com. Consultations are provided personally by Dr George Alex, a surgeon registered with the Indian Medical Council (Reg. No. 24300).

The service

The Surgeon offers online general surgical video consultations by Zoom or WhatsApp video, in two lengths: 15 minutes for ₹2,000.00 (INR) or 30 minutes for ₹3,500.00 (INR). The fee includes review of the symptoms, history and reports you submit before the appointment. It is not an emergency service, an online hospital or an automated diagnostic service, and no prescriptions are issued.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over and physically located in India at the time of your consultation. You must give accurate and complete information about yourself and your health.

Booking and payment

You submit your case through the website and pay the fee by UPI using the QR code and payee details shown on the payment page. After paying, you enter your UPI transaction reference. Your payment shows as "verification pending" until the surgeon has verified that it has been received, and your appointment is not confirmed until the surgeon explicitly confirms it. Your payment details are shown on your request page (or in your patient portal if you have an account). Cancellations and refunds are covered by the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Your account

Keep your password private and do not share your account. Tell us through the contact page if you think someone else has used it.

Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful content, information about another person without their permission, or harmful files, and do not try to access other people's information.

Limits of online consultation

Online advice is limited by the absence of a physical examination and depends on the information you provide. The surgeon may decide that your case is not suitable for online consultation and advise you to be seen in person. A definitive diagnosis may not be possible, and surgery will not necessarily be recommended. See the Telemedicine Terms and Medical Disclaimer.

Liability

The surgeon is responsible for the professional advice given in your consultation. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, or any rights you have as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one shown when you submit your case.
