Nature of the consultation

Consultations are provided remotely by video call (Zoom or WhatsApp video), for 15 or 30 minutes as booked, by Dr George Alex, a surgeon registered with the Indian Medical Council (Reg. No. 24300). The surgeon conducts consultations from outside India.

Identification

Each consultation begins with the surgeon's name and registration number, followed by confirmation of your name, age and that you are physically in India. You may be asked to show photo identification on the video call. Please join from a quiet, private place.

Suitability and limits

Remote consultation does not include a physical examination. The surgeon may decide during review or the consultation that your problem needs examination, tests or referral, and will advise you accordingly. Advice is based on the information and reports you provide.

Prescriptions

No prescriptions are issued through this service. If medicines may be needed, you will be advised to see a doctor locally.

Records

The surgeon keeps a record of your consultation, including confirmation of your identity and location, the information reviewed and the advice given. Where clinically appropriate, a written summary approved by the surgeon is released to your secure patient portal.

Recording

Consultations are not recorded.

Third-party platforms

Zoom and WhatsApp are operated by third parties under their own terms. Joining instructions are shown only in your secure patient portal.

Emergencies

If your condition gets worse at any time, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for an online appointment.
